Share Our AbundanceAll the ministries of Trinity Episcopal Church are the result of committed parishioners giving their time, talent and treasure to spread the gospel. Altar Guild members faithfully set up and clear for services 52 weeks every year. Lectors, chalice bearers, greeters and gift bearers serve every Sunday morning... Vestry and committee members make time to attend meetings. We contribute time to community organizations such as Chopin Hall, Hancock Christian Clearing House, the Adult Day Center, the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center, City Mission and Read for Life. “ Having then gifts, differing according to the grace that is given to us,” (Romans 12: v 6), Trinity members have many opportunities to utilize their talents. Teachers employ their gift of teaching in Christian education classes for children and adults and in organizations such as Read for Life. Musicians combine their talent in the choir, chime choir and Taizé orchestra. Members blessed with culinary skills use them to cook meals for shut-ins and the Salvation Army lunch program as well as food for celebrations and funeral receptions. At Trinity we work toward the goal of the biblical tithe in private, prayerful deliberation with God. In addition to support of our church, we encourage donations to charitable agencies and organizations. Our members are generous in sharing their treasure and our parish also shares its financial resources to help those in need. In the dictionary, stewardship is defined as careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. God has entrusted us with time, talent and treasure. At Trinity Church, we strive to manage these gifts well to grow the body of Christ and share our abundance in our community and beyond. |
